Embark on an unforgettable adventure through the Red Valley and Rainbow Mountain. We start early with a convenient 4:20 a.m. pickup and a delicious breakfast in Cusipata before heading into the Andes. Along the Pitumarca route, you’ll enjoy stunning views of lagoons, mountains, and local wildlife such as alpacas and llamas. After passing the community of Josefina, we reach the ATV base for a short practice session before beginning an exciting 25–30 minute ride across the vibrant Red Valley. A brief hike leads to panoramic viewpoints and then to the famous Rainbow Mountain, where you’ll have time to explore and take amazing photos. We return to Cusipata for lunch and finish the tour back in Cusco around 5:00 p.m. This experience combines adventure, breathtaking landscapes, and the unique beauty of the Andes, perfect for travelers seeking something truly special.

We will be picking you up from your hotel within the historic centre of Cusco. Please Note: This service doesn't include pick up in private residencies, example; Airbnb or hotels that are outside the historic centre.

Pick up and Breakfast in Cusipata: We start the tour at 4:20 AM with a hotel pick up according to your location. From Cusco, we head south through the town of Urcos, arriving in Cusipata for a nutritious breakfast.

2Pitumarca
Scenic Drive through Pitumarca: After breakfast, we continue the journey for approximately 1 hour toward Pitumarca, making a detour through Huchullucllo. Along the way, enjoy stunning Andean landscapes, lakes, and local wildlife, including alpacas, llamas, and sheep. Travel to the ATV Base: We pass the town of Josefina and continue for about 1 hour 20 minutes, passing multiple lakes, until reaching the ATV base. Here, we begin a short 15 minute ATV practice session before starting the Red Valley tour.

3Vinicunca
ATV Tour of Red Valley Enjoy a 25–30 minute ATV ride through Red Valley, with short stops for photos amidst its breathtaking landscapes. We then hike 10–15 minutes to the first viewpoint for stunning panoramic shots. Hike to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) Continue the hike for 30–40 minutes toward Rainbow Mountain. Take time to capture photos and enjoy the vibrant natural scenery of this iconic location.

4Cusipata
Return to ATV Base and Cusipata We hike back along the same route to the ATV base, then drive back to our transport. Return to Cusipata, enjoying the scenic journey along the way.

5Cusco
Lunch and Return to Cusco: Upon arrival in Cusipata, enjoy a delicious lunch before heading back to Cusco. The tour concludes near the Plaza de Armas around 5:00 PM.
