We will be picking you up from your hotel within the historic centre of Cusco. Note:This service doesn't include pick up in private residencies, example; Airbnb or hotels that are outside the historic centre.
Morning Tour – Chinchero, Moray, Maras Salt Mines: Pick up from your hotel at 6:20 AM and drive 45 minutes to the archaeological site of Chinchero, where you will visit the colonial temple and the traditional textile center, preserving textile art passed down through generations. Then continue to Moray, famous for its agricultural terraces, which served as an Inca agricultural research center. After that, explore the Maras Salt Mines, which consist of over 3,000 salt pools managed by local families. The salt is treated with iodine and sold at the market.
Lunch and Ollantaytambo Visit: Continue to Urubamba for a buffet lunch to regain energy. After lunch, visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, known as the “living Inca town.”
Train to Aguas Calientes / Hotel Check-in: Take the train from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, agency staff will meet you at the train station and take you to your hotel. In the evening, your guide will visit your hotel to provide full information about the next day’s itiner
Morning Visit to Machu Picchu: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Your guide will pick you up and accompany you to the bus station. Take the bus from Machu Picchu Pueblo to the entrance of the Machu Picchu citadel, a journey of approximately 30 minutes. At the main entrance, show your original ID and entrance ticket with the guide’s assistance.
Guided Tour of Machu Picchu: Enjoy an approximately 2 hour guided tour of the citadel, exploring its main areas and learning about its history, while having time to take photos of the stunning views.
Return to Cusco: After the tour, take the bus back to Machu Picchu Pueblo. You will have time to enjoy lunch and explore the town. Then board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where agency staff will meet you and transfer you back to Cusco, ending the tour a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas.
