This full day ATV tour to Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley from Cusco offers a high altitude adventure through some of the most colorful landscapes in the Peruvian Andes.

Early Departure & Scenic Drive We will depart early in the morning between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., with hotel pickup in Cusco. The journey heads toward Cusipata, traveling approximately 90 km along scenic Andean roads. Along the way, you will enjoy views of traditional villages, rivers, and mountains before arriving at a traditional Andean buffet breakfast, providing the energy needed for the ATV adventure ahead.

2Cusipata
ATV Experience Through the Andes After breakfast, we continue to Hancchipacha, where you will receive safety instructions and learn how to properly operate the ATVs. We then ride along mountain trails offering spectacular views of the Andes. During the ride, you will see alpacas and llamas grazing in colorful valleys. Each section of the route is ideal for photography and enjoying the fresh mountain air.

Red Valley & Rainbow Mountain Hike From Hancchipacha, we proceed to Lauramani, the base point for the hike to the Red Valley. Walking through red clay paths and unique geological formations, your guide will explain the history and traditions of the local communities. The area is peaceful and perfect for capturing unique photographs. We then continue hiking to the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint (Vinicunca), where you will observe the natural mineral layers that create its vibrant colors. The guide will share insights into its cultural and spiritual importance, while you enjoy panoramic views of snow-capped mountains and deep valleys.

4Cusipata
Return Journey & Lunch After enjoying the viewpoint, we return to Lauramani and ride the ATVs back toward Cusipata, experiencing the landscape from new perspectives. This exciting descent allows for additional photo stops along the way. In Cusipata, we enjoy a box lunch or buffet lunch featuring traditional Andean cuisine, including vegetarian options and fresh local ingredients. After lunch, we return to Cusco by comfortable transportation, arriving near Plaza Regocijo around 4:00 p.m. The tour concludes with unforgettable memories of an adventure that perfectly combines nature, culture, and adrenaline in one remarkable day.
