    Pallay Poncho

The Pallay Punchu (Apu T’acllo) Tour starts with an early hotel pickup in Cusco (4:30–5:00 a.m.) followed by a scenic 3.5-hour journey to the district of Layo, passing through beautiful high-Andean landscapes and traditional rural communities. Upon arrival, travelers enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast with local products before continuing about 30 minutes to Sallani, the starting point of the hike. The trek leads to the summit of Pallay Punchu at over 4,700 m (15,420 ft), where visitors can admire the striking multicolored geological formations that resemble an Andean poncho. Along the route, hikers also enjoy views of Langui Lake, wetlands, and surrounding mountains. After time to explore and take photos at the summit, the group returns by the same trail, travels back to Layo for a traditional lunch, and finally returns to Cusco, arriving near the Plaza de Armas around 6:00–6:30 p.m.
