After visiting Qoricancha, we will head to Sacsayhuaman, one of the most impressive constructions of the Inca Empire. This archaeological site is famous for its massive stone walls perfectly fitted together and offers spectacular panoramic views of Cusco. During the visit, we will learn about its history, ceremonial importance, and the advanced engineering skills of the Incas.
Continuing the tour, we will visit Qenqo, an important Inca ceremonial center associated with religious rituals and astronomical observations. This site is known for its labyrinth-like passages carved into the rock and an underground chamber where ceremonies were held. During the visit, we will learn about its spiritual significance and its importance in Inca culture.
The next stop will be Puka Pukara, known as the "Red Fortress" because of the reddish color its stones take on at sunset. This archaeological site is believed to have served as a checkpoint and resting place for travelers and Inca authorities on their way to Tambomachay. Visitors can also enjoy beautiful views of the Andean landscapes surrounding Cusco.
The last stop of the tour will be Tambomachay, an important archaeological site known for its water channels and fountains that continue to flow to this day. It is believed that this place was dedicated to the worship of water and served as a resting place for Inca nobility. During the visit, we will admire the advanced hydraulic engineering developed by the Incas and enjoy the beautiful surrounding landscapes. Return to Cusco After visiting Tambomachay, we will board our transportation and return to Cusco. The tour will end on Plateros Street, just a few steps from Cusco Main Square (Plaza de Armas), where travelers may continue exploring the city at their leisure.
