All the information regarding the tour will be sent one day prior to the start of the activity. Typically, pickups are done within the historic center of Cusco, 30 minutes before the activity begins.

    We will pick you up from within the historic center of Cusco between 8:00am to 8:30am and then drive you to the aforementioned places of interest.

    Moray

    We will pick you up from your hotel around 8 AM and drive to Moray. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes and offers breathtaking views. You will pass through snow-capped peaks of the Andes, traverse vibrant yellow fields of wheat, and pass by charming villages. Finally, you will arrive at the fascinating terraced site of Moray. Moray showcases three terraces resembling amphitheaters, skillfully created by the Incas. These terraces are intricately carved into the earth in a bowl shape and were believed to be used for experimenting with different crop growing conditions, optimizing agricultural practices.

    After you have finished exploring Moray, the next stop on the itinerary is the salt mines of Maras, located approximately 2 miles away. Maras is renowned for being a historical salt-producing center that dates back to colonial times. Here, you will discover over 3000 salt pools meticulously carved into the mountainside. These pools are replenished daily by a small stream of water. The area is truly breathtaking and offers a spectacularly beautiful landscape. Once you have completed the visit to the salt mines, you will return to the city in time for you to enjoy some lunch on your own.
