    Day 1

    CUSCO – SALT FLATS - PISPITAYOC (BIKING AND RAFTING)

    Pick up from your hotel at 7:00 am and drive towards Cruzpata Village, here you will prepare to mountain bike across Maras Plateau to the spectacular Salineras (Salt Flats, then arrive biking into the Sacred Valley. After 4 hours of biking, you will drive to Santa Maria Village, where lunch is served in a local restaurant. Later, enjoy white water rafting in the Urubamba River for two hours, we spent the night in a rustic lodge in the jungle among coffee and avocado trees (Rafting is subject to weather conditions).

    PISPITAYOC – SANTA TERESA

    We will wake up in the middle of the jungle today with beautiful sounds of birds, enjoy a cup of fresh homemade coffee. It’s then a 4-hour hike using an amazing original Inca trail that connected Machu Picchu with Vilcabamba “The Last Capital of the Incas”. Along the way you will find avocados, maniocs, oranges, mangoes, cacao, coffee and coca plantations. Arriving to Quellomayu for lunch. Later will be another 4-hour walk upstream along the Urubamba River to the thermo-medicinal springs of Cocalmayu (pure volcanic water) good for bones, stress, muscles and headaches. After soaking our bodies in the pools. We take a bus to Santa Teresa where we spend the night in a local hotel.

    SANTA TERESA -LLAQTAPATA – AGUAS CALIENTES

    After enjoying a delicious breakfast we will make our way to Lucmabamba (2,000m/6,600ft). First, your tour guide will take you in a organic coffee tour, then, we pick up another original Inca trail for 3 hours to Llaqtapata; this is another extraordinary Incan Site located right in front of Machu Picchu, you will have time to explore and enjoy the beauty of the site as you learn more about the Incan history. The second part is a relatively easy 2-hour downhill to the hydroelectric station where we have lunch. After lunch is another 3-hour hike to Aguas Calientes. Arriving in the city around 5 pm. Dinner at a local restaurant.

    MACHUPICCHU (LOST CITY OF THE INCAS)

    Machu Picchu

    On our final day, we have to get up very early to prepare for Machu Picchu and take the bus. Your guide will take you on a 2 to 3-hour comprehensive tour of the city before leaving you in Machu Picchu to explore on your own or climb either Huayna Picchu or Montaña (must be booked as far in advance as possible). Your guide will explain how to take the bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes for lunch and take the Panoramic exclusive train and bus back to Cusco.
