Pick up from HOTELS
It begins with pickup from the hotel in Cusco at 5:00 am and transfer in tourist mobility to the town of Mollepata and introducing our team that will accompany us throughout the walk, the first breakfast is on your own, then we move to Marqoq' Asa where the walk begins to the viewpoint where we can observe 02 valleys (Mollepata Valley, Marqoq'asa) then we continue the walk to Soraypampa where we will have a well-deserved lunch and then ascend for 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the Humantay lagoon located at 4220 meters above sea level. After appreciating this beautiful place we will descend to Soraypampa.
Today, after a delicious wake, a glass of hot Coca tea is served in its stores to relieve the cold morning. We prepare all our equipment to start this beautiful day of trekking to the Salcantay pass and the experience in the cloud forest and the day of the subtropical forest. The second day you will have more hiking trail than on foot. While you work a little harder to get to the top, the views at the top are even more amazing than we can see. Then it is a pure descent path with full stones, descending to an area of tropical forest more within reach at the end of the Salkantay mountain.
It is a beautiful mountainous landscape in the morning, today is a natural green trail and reach to the beach; with some river that are tributaries of the main river of the Sacred Valley of the Incas "Urubamba River" and most of the time we will be near the white river of Salcantay finding in our walk a lot of wild strawberries "both sides of the path, of course if it is the season ", there are a lot of wild flowers, orchids, some birds, fruit passions, avocados, coffee plantations, bananas, pineapples, etc. The walk will last approximately 5 hours; the camp is in the settlement of La Playa.
We left La Playa very early in the morning to avoid the humid blow of the sun, to do a little trekking towards our last step of the whole trip. Today we follow the original Inca Trail from Lucmabamba to the Llactapata Pass, crossing the Santa Teresa Valley with a variety of landscapes (green nature and a quiet Inca trail). Upon reaching the ruins of Patallacta, we have the first view of Machu Picchu and all the Andes mountains in the area that are incredible views. We also explored the Llactapata Incan site. Then we descend through lush forests of bamboo and coffee (Valle de Aobamba) along a path back to Hydro (two hours of extreme descent to the riverbank). From the Aobamba river, the road to Hydro is easy to walk to the village of Aguas Calientes "the last two and a half hours we followed the train track".
Very early we will go to take the bus that will take us to Machupicchu. Upon arrival, we will show the entrance ticket. The guide will explain Machupicchu to you for 2 hours. Then we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch. Finally, we go to the train station to board the train that will take us to Ollantaytambo. Finally, we will travel by bus to your hotel in Cusco.
