The Sacred Valley of the Incas is one of the most emblematic destinations in Peru and one of the main gateways to know the history, culture, and traditions surrounding Machu Picchu. Among mountains, ancient villages, and impressive archaeological remains, this region reveals different aspects of the legacy left by the Incas.
On this day trip from Cusco, you will visit some of the most representative places in the Sacred Valley, including Pisac, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo. The experience will be conducted with a Portuguese guide, who will accompany the group throughout the entire route, sharing information about the history, culture, and main attractions of the region.

A strategic stop to contemplate one of the most impressive landscapes of the Sacred Valley. From the viewpoint, you will have a panoramic view of the mountains, the cultivated fields, and the Andean communities that spread across the valley.

2Parque Arqueologico Pisac
The first major stop of the day will be in Pisac, where you will visit its important archaeological site, located at approximately 3,300 meters above sea level. The location combines Inca architecture, agricultural terraces, and panoramic views of the Sacred Valley. The altitude of Pisac is similar to that of Cusco, and the visit is done in a relaxed way, with time to walk and appreciate the place at your own pace.

3Pisac
Get a close look at the artisanal work developed in the region and discover how traditional goldsmithing techniques continue to be used in the creation of gold and silver pieces. 4Urubamba
After a morning dedicated to Andean history and culture, it will be time to take a break and enjoy Peruvian gastronomy. At Restaurant Don Angel, you can experience different dishes that represent the three great regions of Peru Coast, Highlands, and Jungle in a buffet lunch. Urubamba is located at approximately 2,870 meters above sea level, an altitude lower than Cusco and Pisac, providing a pleasant moment to rest and enjoy the meal before continuing through the Sacred Valley.

5Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo
Ollantaytambo is one of the most impressive examples of Inca urban planning. Your stone streets, water canals, and preserved buildings allow one to closely observe the organization and engineering developed by the Incas. During the visit, you will see the Ollantaytambo archaeological site and have time to explore its constructions and appreciate the surrounding landscape. The city is located at approximately 2,790 meters above sea level, an altitude lower than Cusco, making this section of the tour more comfortable for many travelers.

We will finalize the experience in Ollantaytambo Square, where you can continue your journey if you have booked a train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. You can continue your trip to Aguas Calientes with a train ride departing from the Ollantaytambo Train Station. If you prefer to return to Cusco, the departure time from Ollantaytambo will be around 5 PM, with an expected arrival in Cusco around 7 PM.

- If you wish to stay in Ollantaytambo to catch the train to Machu Picchu, inform the departure time of your train at the time of the reservation. The tour normally ends between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM.
- Since this is a trip taken in a high-altitude region, we recommend that travelers pay attention to their own physical condition and take the trip at a comfortable pace. Most of the itinerary takes place at altitudes similar to or lower than Cusco.
