Everything was excellent. The buildings, the history, the art, the facilities, the staff, the service, the attention to detail. I cannot praise the hotel enough. So enjoyable to be in such beautiful surroundings. Fantastic breakfast, with more choice than you can imagine! The communal spaces, the courtyards, the chapel and the large reception hall all a delight to spend some time to relax and enjoy. My room was charmingly decorated, loved the painted pattern round the window/door frame, out to a small terrance with plants over looked tiny courtyard and a Spanish style painted mural. Loved the art tour in the evening. Definitely a couple of days to treasure.

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel from start to finish. The property itself is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and thoughtfully designed, but what truly sets it apart is the level of service.

The concierge team headed up by Edson was outstanding—knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely invested in making every aspect of my stay seamless. From securing reservations to offering thoughtful recommendations, they went above and beyond in a way that felt both effortless and personal.

Every interaction with the staff reflected a high standard of professionalism and warmth. It’s rare to find a place that combines luxury with such attentive, intuitive service.

I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly elevated experience.

I have traveled all over the world, to many of the best hotels, however Monasterio tops them all. The staff here, from top to bottom, is absolutely exceptional! Their kindness and attention to detail is unparalleled! The rooms are exquisitely furnished and so comfortable. The food here is simple, yet so sophisticated with simply all the best ingredients Peru has to offer! EVERY detail here is thought out and extremely well executed. I cannot wait to return to this wonderful property!

Gorgeous hotel in Cusco which was a former Jesuit seminary. You can’t tell from the outside but once you step through the doors, you are transported into a luxurious hotel which has retained much of the original architecture. And it has character, which is often lacking in most chain hotels.

Service is warm and impeccable. The 2 on-site restaurants serve excellent food.

We are very happy with our stay and was sad to leave.

The Monasterio in Cusco is an exceptional basecamp to explore Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Pichu sites. We highly recommend a vacation in Peru, the people are friendly, the quality of food is excellent, and the sites are truly worthy of any bucket-list!

Todo. El precioso edificio, cordialidad de todo el personal. Habitaciones preciosas. Desde que te esperan en el aeropuerto te sientes un pasajero vip. La llegada, forma de hacer el check in, el té que te entregan cuando llegas. Agradecer a Edson, concierge, quien nos recibió y tuvo muchas atenciones con nosotros para hacer nuestra estadía un espectáculo. También agradecer a Soncco, quien nos atendió en el restaurant durante el desayuno, tan gentil.

This Belmond hotel blew us away. How they've managed to blend the Monastery and the hotel is amazing. We even had original pieces of the art and walls in our room.
The staff pays attention to every detail about your stay ensuring that you are able to relax and enjoy Cusco to its fullest.

My husband and I have had a wonderful and memorable 5-day stay at Monasterio.The hotel itself is beyond words - absolutely stunning and top-notch in terms of amenities, dining, and location. However, our stay would not have been as wonderful without the superb service of the staff. They are welcoming, warm, kind, knowledgeable, and professional—they care deeply about the guest experience. On our last night at the hotel, it was sad for us to leave as we felt like we were leaving friends. The folks at El Tupay even presented us with a special dessert to thank us for visiting. It was very touching and we appreciated it their thoughtfulness.

If we ever return to Peru, we will definitely stay at the Monasterio again, mainly due to the experience these individuals provided. If friends or family visit Peru, we will not hesitate to recommend Monasterio.

The service at Monasterio was absolutely wonderful. I would say it was the highlight of our entire stay in Peru! From our very first morning, the staff made us feel incredibly well-cared for. Each interaction felt warm, personal and sincere, especially at breakfast. Our waiters were attentive and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask—our cups of coffee were never empty!

I was struggling a bit with the elevation, so a waiter named Dario served me coca tea each morning to help with my altitude sickness symptoms. He even thoughtfully prepared a to-go cup and other treats for the road to make sure I stayed comfortable. Another waiter, Soncco, took the time to give us a brief tour of the hotel grounds. He shared fascinating stories about the former monastery’s history and architecture that made our breakfast feel like more than just a meal. It is rare to find a team so committed to their guests; they treated us with such kindness that we felt more like welcomed friends than hotel guests. Thank you, Dario and Soncco!

Our stay at the Monasterio Hotel was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the entire team treated us with incredible warmth and professionalism, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.

A special mention to Bryan Cárdenas, who was always attentive and ensured that everything was perfect for us. His kindness and dedication made a lasting impression. Thanks to him and the wonderful team, our experience was far more than just a hotel stay — it was something truly special.

The hotel offers world-class service, and staying at Monasterio Belmond is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. It is a 350-year-old monastery that has been fully restored.
There is exceptional attention to detail in every aspect: the service, the sheets, the towels, the amenities, and the quality of the food, both at breakfast and in the restaurants.

Beautifully maintained old-world monastery. Invited Entrance through the chapel. Awestruck by the grounds and courtyard. The breakfast buffet was incomparable. Staff were attentive to every need. I doubt there is another hotel like this in the world! Truly blessed to have this once-in-a- lifetime experience!
