Sonesta Hotel Cusco

What a beautiful hotel! The breakfast was my favorite part. So many options especially for me being gluten free. It was very clean and everyone was so friendly. It wasn’t too close or too far from the plaza. I would highly recommend.

My experience was amazing. Breakfast lovely Ross was amazing, it was my birthday and the staff surprised me with happy birthday wishes and cake. I had a wonderful experience. Thank you Ross and the rest of the staff.

Cusco was the last stop on our week in Peru and the Sonesta was the perfect place for us to land. We were greeted enthusiastically by the staff and helped with our luggage. The room was clean, modern and comfortable with a great view of the city. The restaurant is not notch. The complementary breakfast is unlike any I have ever experienced with all the local options in addition to cooked to order eggs. We had dinner there twice. Again, lots of options, very well prepared and very affordable. Hat’s off to the chef! Well done. Consider splitting your meal as they serve more food than we are used to. They have a nice bar although we were the only ones using it. We overlooked the small local plaza, where on this Sunday the participants for the festival staged before walking to the main plaza. An added extra. We also appreciated the hourly ride to the airport. Thanks to the entire team. You all made our stay special.

The location is very convenient about 13-14 mts walk from Plaza de Armas. The room was clean and well maintained by the domestic staff Mirian every day. At the reception desk Tania was very helpful. The breakfast options were plentiful and all served fresh Peruvian food along with regular breakfast. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Our Experience couldn't be more pleasant. We are in Love with Cusco and the accomodations had a lot to do with it. The organization, the cleaning, the food, the ambient simply amazing. But the main reason our experience in Sonesta was such an amazing experience was the friendliest Staff. Very friendly, talkative I loved it. And a special thank to the beautiful Ladies Clara, Ross and Isabelita ❤️ that were always ready to help with a smile on their faces.
We will be back.

Ubicación y servicio

This hôtel is centrally located near to the main square. It is an easy walk to many local attractions. The room although compact had all of the necessary facilities. Unfortunately like most hotels in Peru the lighting is insufficient for packing your suitcases! We also found it rather airless. Not keen on showering over a bathtub due to slipping hazard. A mat and rails are provided. The restaurant and bar menu are great. Service is good. Very efficient luggage minding service.

Decent comfortable hotel, the location is not the best, 30 minute walk to the main square in cusco. The staff were exceptionally good when my wife had problems with the altitude, they brought oxygen to the room immediately. Clara in the restaurant was particularly good and caring and gave very useful advice

A disappointing experience.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights as part of our tour around South America. This hotel was booked for us by a tour company.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful place and the staff are really lovely and helpful.
Our room was not good. We arrived to find ants running all over the counter top around the sink and the bathroom itself is very shabby. The shower gel was empty, we managed on the first night but it was not refilled on the second day.
But the thing that really ruined the stay for us, was the noise. We were in a ground floor room. And the noise of the corridor and floor above us sounded like herds of elephants walking..... We were awoken three times in one night, and that was on a night where we had to rise at 4.50 am.... it was far from ideal and very tiring.
When I checked out I was not asked if I was happy with my stay, so did not have an opportunity to express my opinion.

The staff is attentive and accommodating. Specially Lukas, Rose and Gary. The check in staff is also lovely and I wish I knew their names. J Avalos

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond. One example was they arranged an airport shuttle to pick us up outside of the normal times.
Hotel was classy looking and bedrooms where comfort and clean. Great location and close to restaurants and sites.Great breakfast- was varied and tasty.

Close to the city and friendly staff

It was very smart, clean, smelt lovely, the staff were super friendly. Room was big and spotlessly clean.

Gary was our waiter 2 times while we visited. He was very sweet. We ate dinner 3 times and everything was so delicious. I especially like the chicken with golden berries.
