a truly special service in an amazing hotel. the location is great. the team at the hotel is exceptional and they gave us a memorable stay.
Initially I was sceptical when the hotel was described as the place to be in Cusco but in a very short time I came to agree.
The building is absolutely stunning, a former convent with so much character and atmosphere. The staff were superb, particularly Gustavo, who bent over backwards to help with all queries and proactively offered advice and suggestions. A fountain of knowledge and fully dedicated to customer satisfaction.
The restaurant is amazing. We had a taster menu with wine pairing and had great chats with the very competent sommelier Elvis.
We would have liked to stay longer Highly recommended
We had an exceptional stay from start to finish. The attention to detail and level of service were truly top-notch. We especially loved the pisco sour demonstration and the walking tour, which made our experience feel unique and personal. The property is in an excellent location.
A special thank you to our butler, Saúl, who was absolutely outstanding. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and always one step ahead of our needs. Yoshira made every breakfast a pleasure with her warm and attentive service.
The spa was another highlight of our stay. The massages were excellent, and the spa manager was incredibly kind and welcoming, making the experience even more memorable.
The pool area is also gorgeous and it was heated as well! All the amenities were provided such as sunscreen.
Transportation arranged through the hotel was flawless throughout our visit, and every detail was handled seamlessly. All the drivers were so kind. It's rare to find a property where nothing is overlooked, but this hotel delivered at every turn. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
From the check in to check out, the entire stay was second to none. The staff was thoroughful and attentive. The meals were delicious. This former convent turned hotel exceeded my expectations.
I had the pleasure of having a massage at the spa from a Miss Jess, which turned out to be one of the best massages I have had in a long time. It was so good I came back twice!
Where do I even begin? If TripAdvisor allowed 10 stars, Palacio Nazarenas would earn every single one. This is hands down the best hotel service I have ever experienced.
From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted by name with genuine warmth and offered tea to help us acclimate to Cusco’s altitude.
The staff here operates on another level. They anticipate your needs before you even realize you have them, always gracious, always smiling, always one step ahead. I’m gluten-free and the options were delicious.
A few moments that truly stood out: when I needed something from a pharmacy, they offered to pick it up for me without hesitation. And when I accidentally left a personal item at a sister property in another city, the team arranged to have it transported to me.
My stay at Palacio Nazarenas is an experience I’ll remember. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Beyond expectations, we did not know what to expect from our trip to Peru. We were beyond surprised and impressed by the country, the people, the architecture and the culture. The hotel was in an amazing location, staff were friendly, helpful and really cared about you and your experience. The room, the restaurants were great. Highly recommend.
Part 2 of our holiday started in Cusco - in a hotel that used to be the Palace of the last Emperor of the Incas! This is Belmond Palacio Nazarenas - where oxygen is pumped into each room. We are truly gobsmacked - everything here is excuisite - and how could it not be - it’s belmond after all.
This hotel is focused on incredible personal service - we even have a butler. And The Hotel features the city’s first (and largest) outdoor heated swimming pool, located in a restored, historic cloistered terrace
Truly remarkable. The attention to detail and each and every staff member - probabbly tge most attentative team i have ever encountered at a hotel.
I can HIGHLY recommend them.
The food and beverage service was superb (that breakfast!!). The hotel interior is incredibly authentic and beautiful.
swapping from the monasterio next door which is fabulous to the PN we knew it was the right choice .. our room was superb, the service impeccable and the attention to detail second to none
absolutely incredible stay. From the impeccable service, amazing room/grounds, fantastic food, and overall stay we were so impressed. This hotel embodies the Belmond culture and service, we will be back!
Lovely hotel with excellent service. They offer a complimentary pisco sour class in your room which was convenient- we had Saul helping us there and Edgar as our butler, both professional and friendly. Great location with proximity to restaurants and the main plaza.
The property was beautiful with lots of courtyards and a warm pool. Our room—a suite overlooking the pool—was spacious, with a large bathroom and walk-in closet.
We had a great experience doing the tea tasting with Saul.
We also enjoyed making the herbal remedies in the spa—a free activity in a beautiful location that was very calming.
The staff at the hotel, especially our butler Freddie, were all excellent and eager to help and make our stay easier. Freddie even walked us to dinner one night, and the hotel handed us umbrellas any time it was raining.
The food by the pool was great too. And everywhere we ate—including Mauka, the fanciest restaurant—they were extremely accommodating, even willing to serve things from other menus around the property or dishes not listed on any menu. However, it is worth noting that the breakfast, unlike at Monestario, is not a buffet. But when we asked to switch our included breakfast to Monestario, they were extremely accommodating.
Overall, we had a very pleasant experienced that was enhanced by the wonderful staff.
We had stayed at Monastario 15 yrs ago and tried this Belmond in Cusco and can not praise the staff and management enough. Wonderful and authentic experience and the food rooms be service were excellent. As for Belmond group as a whole/LVMH, their lack of response was very concerning. We tried to book our whole 2 wk Peru trip with Belmond for 8 people and never even heard back from the Lima office. We will question staying in other Belmonds going forward after another issue with the booking process but will always come back to this special place in Cusco.
Our stay at the Palacio Nazarenas in Cusco was nothing short of exceptional, and it turned into a truly unforgettable birthday trip thanks to your incredible team.
Every detail felt thoughtfully handled, and the level of personalized service consistently exceeded expectations. Edgar, the lead butler, did a phenomenal job coordinating our trip to Machu Picchu on the Belmond train—everything was seamless, stress-free, and perfectly executed. Fredy and Gustavo, our butlers, were equally outstanding—attentive, warm, and always one step ahead in anticipating our needs. They made us feel completely at home while also delivering a luxury experience at the highest level.
Yoshira in the restaurant provided impeccable service throughout—gracious, attentive, and a pleasure to interact with. Each meal felt elevated because of her care and professionalism. Erick and Noe from room service were equally impressive: prompt, friendly, and consistently ensuring everything was perfect.
A special highlight was the spa experience with Miluska. Her massage was truly exceptional—relaxing, restorative, and delivered with great skill. It was a standout moment of the trip.
Overall, the team created a seamless, warm, and memorable experience that made my birthday celebration incredibly special. The hospitality here is world-class, and it’s clear the staff takes great pride in what they do. I would absolutely return and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Cusco.
Last-minute trip to Machu Picchu. Without the concierge/Butler. (Fredy) We would not have been able to get into section 2 at Machu Picchu. Everything was sold out, this Butler made the impossible happen for us in four days!!!! Catered to our needs, fresh fruit in our room, paid attention and provided tea and natural oils that eased my headaches (because of the altitude, you will most likely have a headache every day as I did) Secured taxis, buses, train tickets, absolutely everything we needed to travel safely from one spot to another. Make sure to check out the opera dinner next-door to this hotel, you will be amazed at the experience ( Fredy Booked this for us as well). Super close walking to the main square with churches to visit, restaurants, shopping- very safe area. This is the best location in Cusco- also, where the excursion to visit rainbow Mountain leaves out of. We did not try the pool, but it is heated to 85°. There is a small historic church in the hotel, amazing to visit along with the library, which has other historical artifacts to see…. The service at this hotel outstanding and amazing location!- definitely worth the price!!
Our stay at Palacio Nazarenas was nothing short of magical. They offered incredible service at every turn! A special shout out to Saul for being so thoughtful, but the entire team here is exceptionally attentive and always one step ahead. They gave us fantastic local recommendations that really made our trip. The food at the attached restaurant, Mauna, was incredible (highly recommend the paiche)! They were so kind to our 6-year-old, treating her like royalty throughout our stay. We felt completely taken care of and can’t wait to return!
Service amazing. Food is fantastic Saul our butler was thoughtful and extremely thorough. And his private pisco sour lesson in your room was perfection.
