Excellent time
Rooms are not maintained, breakfast is pretty bare. It is pretty noisy, tough to get sleep.
Good Located. Friendly staff. Need a little maintenance, but not bother your stay less than 3 days..
The room was very noisy all night with traffic from the street (sounding the horn at all hours) and police blowing their whistles. Not the hotel's fault but the balcony door not closing properly to exclude the noise did not help. I had a double room, the only with a balcony onto the street. Next time I would ask for an internal room. The hot water arrived after waiting a few minutes but it was only ever lukewarm so I never braved the shower until my next hotel in Machu Picchu. Mattress uncomfortable too so that did not help with the not sleeping. My room also was not heated but I found a portable heater on the landing which I borrowed for my stay.
Tje hotel needs to be more updated, the rooms are nothing like the pictures, but it was ok.
Nice people. Needs some maintaince .
Great location.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great option for budget travelers. Less than 5 minutes walk to the Plaza de Armas. The rooms facing the street have balconies and great views, but are noisy from the street at night. Light sleepers should ask for an interior room. The property is being upgraded room by room.
Pésimo, hotel descuidado
Bien placé mais vetuste et bruyant
Good place to stay. Wasn't in the room most the time but the staff was nice and recommended good shopping areas. Only thing was there was no heat in the room or the hotel. I would stay there again.
This inexpensive hotel is located just steps from the Plaza Regocijo, which itself is just down the street from the Plaza de Armas. It is in an excellent location for historic Cusco. We were there on Good Friday and we had the good fortunate of witnessing the Good Friday parade/procession from our balcony.
The breakfast was also pretty good. Coca tea, coffee and fruit smoothies, and cereal, yogurt, fresh bread, avocado and jam rounded out the hearty selection. I really liked the interior breakfast courtyard space.
As for the negatives, the room is very basic and the walls are so thin that you could hear every one of your neighbor's steps. We came with two small children so we were probably the ones making the most noise in the hotel. Moreover, there was a car alarm that kept going off right outside of our window all three nights, and it definitely woke me up each night.
Lastly, the staff was super friendly. They let us leave our luggage there from 8am the first morning (prior to check in) to 11pm when we returned from Machu Picchu. When we arrived, the receptionist who I believe lives there was kind of drunk, pointed us to the bag room and gave us the room keys. It turned out to be the wrong room size, but we went ahead anyways. In the morning, it turned out that he had not registered us so the morning receptionist had no idea we had stayed there. This was more comedic than anything, not really a complaint. Overall good bargain though.
