A tourist friendly hotel at a supreme location
Pros:

Cleanliness of the room including the bedding and the private bathroom.
Friendliness of the staff and 24-hour availability of the front desk.
Location right off the main square, convenient location and baggage storage.
Courtesy breakfast bags with small sandwich, bar, fruit and a bottled water to make it easier for early morning departing tours.
Responsiveness on WhatsApp prior to arrival.

Cons:

Noise sensitive people might feel the noise right across the alley. We are all good sleepers, so it was not a big issue. Hotel provided ear plugs so I believe they would help too although we didn't need to use them.
The only glitch is that the hotel miscounted us for breakfast on the last day. They did make up a bag for the 4th family member, but it was missing the sandwich. It's always good to bring some extra snacks just in case.

Bien
Pros:

Delightful staff, great location, comfortable rooms
Pros:

Great! The staff are delightful and very helpful - shoutout to Danny and Franco who helped us with several things during our stay. The laundry service was very reliable - everything returned smelling lovely, all dry (even the hiking clothes that I had asked to be air dried, and not put in a tumble drier). 10 sol per kg was good value to me given my items were looked after and all returned, nothing lost. Paid for hotel stay with card, but laundry in cash. We stayed twice (2 nights before Inca trail and 2 nights after) and left our suitcases there between stays. Our first stay was on level 3 at the back of the hotel in room 301 - comfy twin beds, excellent hot shower with great water pressure. Second stay was on level 1 in room 105. Again, very comfy beds. It was cute as the beds were up stairs like an annex. Shower was a little slower to heat up, but once it got hot it was lovely. Both rooms were quite enough to sleep easily despite the hotel being close to the main square. Rooms were serviced daily with beds made, bins emptied and fresh towels provided.
Breakfast was included and tasty with eggs, fruit and pancakes, and of course, coffee.
On our last day we had to check out early to do the Inka express to Puno. Franco helped book an early morning taxi, and arranged breakfast boxes to take with us (also included!). Again I want to say that the staff we met were all very delightful and helpful during our stay. I would stay here again.

Cons:

Nil negatives

Lovely hotel. Recommended.
Pros:

Lovely hotel off the main square. Very friendly, helpful staff. Bed very comfortable. Spotlessly clean. On days I had early morning starts, I could have a packed snack. Location good with many restaurants around the square and also a general daily police presence keeping a watchful eye on things. I felt perfectly safe even at night.

Cons:

A couple of cons, but I would still recommend the hotel and stay again. The rooms at the front are terribly loud all night due to the bar/disco on the other side of the alley. However, if you have a room at the back then it‘s really quiet and you can‘t hear a thing. After I changed rooms I slept like a log. Cars and taxis cannot drive to the hotel so either stop at the corner of the square or at the top of the alley. The hotel can arrange for taxis and the driver will help with luggage. Breakfast is a tad sparse but eggs are available to order.
