Pros:

Quiet location within a few minutes walk to Plaza de Armas and the shops and restaurants. Lady brought a muna tea to my room on arrival. You can buy bottled water from the reception area. Cheap room rate. Spacious room and large bed.

Cons:

Bathroom stank of rotten eggs and was pretty gross, one small toilet roll and a tiny bar of soap, so you do need to have your own toiletries if staying for multiple days. The walls are paper thin so I could hear everything going on with the amorous couple in the room next door. Difficult to carry large heavy luggage up a very narrow and noisy metal staircase. Electrical sockets were difficult to use with a foreign adapter, plugs kept falling out of the socket which isn't useful when trying to charge a phone or use hair appliances. Freezing cold, no heating in the room. The room was not cleaned or replenished in the several days I stayed there.

Had a few bad nights of sleep
Pros:

The bed was comfortable and we could store our luggage while visiting the Amazon rainforest for a couple of days. Good location.

Cons:

First of all, the check-in was already problematic. We walked back and forth between the two locations until we finally had a room after one hour. Second, we didn’t get the room we booked via booking (instead we got the budget room, though the prices were equal). We had a window facing the hallway and some kind of storage. It was very cold, smelly and super noisy. As soon as someone in the other room would turn on the light, we would have light as well. We had only 1 proper pillow for 2 people. The shower was okay; not very high pressure and the temperature changed all the time.
