Amazing room! Incredibly comfortable bed with nice linens! Great WiFi and hot shower.
Breakfast was always late… 20-45 minutes after our requested time every morning. Also, the demeanor of the staff was not very happy.. they seemed sad or mad most of the time though their emotions were never directed at us. Maybe they just had a bad week.
This was one of our favourite places in South America so far. Super comfortable, good value for money. We stayed here twice, because no other property came close!
These are just recommendations to help the property improve further, but we still recommend the property highly and would always choose to stay again:
- There is no reception and the WhatsApp communication required was a bit more effort than just getting there and checking in
- Breakfast is served from 6:45, which we must assume is strategic to avoid serving it to most guests: almost every activity you can possibly do in Cusco will require an earlier breakfast and offering at least a simple take away option would have been nice. We only got to have breakfast once during 4 nights here and gulped it down within 10 minutes to not miss our train
- The lower level bedroom has a street lamp practically right in front of the window, the provided curtains are much better than in almost any other property but for this particular room it would make sense to eg ensure the gap between curtain and wall can be closed by eg a magnet, since it’s 5cm over the pillow it did shine quite brightly all night
- Lastly, there was more than one instance where people were unable to pass the door that requires a code and were banging for someone to open in the middle of the night and repeatedly setting off the alarm. That someone was me, reducing my sleep before Machu Picchu to 2 hours - thank you. It turned out the people were given the wrong code over WhatsApp - seriously? That cannot happen and being unavailable over WhatsApp in these instances and having guests have to deal with these situations is not ok and should never happen.

The place is so cozy, the showers are warm and the staff are amazing. Athens was so helpful with my check-in times. She made it really easy for me to get settled.

En ninguna parte de la publicación indican que si pagas con tarjeta de crédito te hacen un recargo (creo que fue 4%). No es una fortuna, pero es poco serio y poco transparente. La persona de recepción llamó al dueño para manifestarle mi reclamo y la respuesta fue algo tipo "se puede ir a otro hotel". Ella fue amable y entiendo que cumple instrucciones, pero los dueños están conscientes de esto y les da lo mismo.
Our host was amazing! She helped us with everything we needed and more. The location was great.
Room was well maintained and clean. The breakfast was good!
The owner was rude and really bad at customer service and communication.
After my booking was confirmed, I got a message on WhatsApp from “ecoworldtravelagency” that the room I booked is not available and I should cancel the booking and book at another hotel suggested on the message.
This number was not listed on the booking and obviously looked like a scam message.
After 5 minutes this message was deleted.
I asked the on message that if room is not available then why did you accept my booking and why is it still shown as confirmed on booking.com and I didn’t get any reply. I assumed this is scam and proceeded to the hotel.
Upon reaching the hotel, the door was locked. There was no way to get in. I tried ringing doorbell multiple times but no reply.
Fortunately another people who were staying here arrived and let me in. There was no one at reception and they tried contacting the owner to help me check in. But owner said to them that booking is not available.
All this while my booking was still showing as confirmed on booking.com.
Then I asked my friend to call the official number present in booking to check if booking is available or not and when my friend called on the number, the owner replied that booking is still available and someone is coming in 10 minutes to check me in.
After 15 minutes, no one arrived and my friend called again. This is owner told that room is available and someone should be arriving soon. Then someone arrived after 10 minutes and handed me keys.
I was stranded for 2 hours and looking for other hotels all while my booking was still confirmed.
The next morning, I got a message from booking that my stay has been canceled because of no show. Weird.
I contacted owner and she told me that she’ll lock the dates and let me stay. I assumed this was a mistake.
At the end, owner still had the audacity to charge me full price saying that she upgraded my room and provided me a better room.
The host/ owner was super lovely and couldn't have been more helpful

La verdad que ha sido una experiencia impresionante, gracias por tratarnos como si estuviéramos en casa
Die Unterkunft ist sehr modern eingerichtet. Alles macht einen sehr neuen und sehr sauberen Eindruck. Die Dusche ist die beste auf meiner gesamten Peru-Reise gewesen. Das Bett war sehr gemütlich.
Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr gut, um von dort Cusco zu entdecken. Die Straße ist belebt, aber im Zimmer selbst hört man davon nichts.
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen!
