The staff were friendly and helpful when we requested to change rooms.
There was a luggage storage room if you needed to use it if you went to Machu Picchu or elsewhere overnight, but we didn't need to use it.
I don't how the review score is as high as it is.
Location - Walkable to Plaza Mayor with all of the restaurants and landmarks, but next to the market which meant there was a lot of noise and mess on the road outside of the hotel. Not the hotel's fault but not ideal.
Condition of the rooms - The first room that we stayed in was tiny and the bathroom ceiling was covered in mould. One of the walls was also a floor-to-ceiling window that looked into the hotel, and was covered only by very thin curtains which did nothing to keep out all of the light and noise of the hotel in the early morning hours. The carpets have all also seen better days.
We were able to move rooms to a family room for no extra cost, but it seemed like all of the rooms needed a fair bit of renovation.
Price - We stayed at the hotel a few doors down for 3 nights before we went to Machu Picchu, and we were unable to book there after so we stayed here. The other hotel was a similar price and was considerably better.
Breakfast - We only ate breakfast twice in our 3 days, as we left at 3am for a day trip on one of the days. The first day, the choice was very minimal, and on our final morning, the breakfast wasn't ready at 7:15 (breakfast is scheduled to begin at 6:30) and the food wasn't good.
El personal unos genios
Kind staff, great room, short walk to the main area.
Great Place!
It has a nice hot shower and the room itself is warm and cozy (many hotels ins Cusco are cold and so we were glad that it was warm and cozy). They also had Shampoo and a typical Peruan breakfast. Great value for the money.
Good location. Excellent staff. Quiet from outside, but the interior balcony was still loud.
Clean and comfortable room.
Breakfast was not good. The interior balcony had a lot of echo which was quite loud.
The location was good and the staff member that we spoke to a few days before arriving was very nice and helpful. We were able to leave our suitcases there while we did the Inca Trail. Hair dryer in the bathroom and the toilet flushed every time (not always a given from experience).
The noise from the street and market, lack of a lift to carry the bags up. The breakfast was very disappointing. I wasn't offered any hot food and there was very little selection. Some staff spoke great english others struggled.
Excellent location as it is across the road from San Pedro Market and walking distance to the main square.
Very lovely staff
Clean enviroment
No lift so if you are on the higher floors you have to lift your heavy suitcases up.
If you cannot handle noise you are on the road so it is noisy. It didn't bother us but if you like quietness bare this in mind.
Very basic breakfast - just jam, butter & egg
Great location 2 min from train station
Comfortable bed
