Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.

Breakfast was meant to be included, i got a piece of moldy bread.. then politely let him know I could not eat it due to allergies so he gave me a banana and apple on a plate.
Unclean sheets and black mold in bathroom
No curtain in room so bright lights from hall way kept me awake most of the night
Stated kitchen facilities however he decided me using some hot water from the kettle

Very disappointing experience – I would not recommend this hotel
I stayed at this hotel for one night, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.
Upon arrival, I was informed that paying by card would incur an additional 5% fee. When paying in cash in Peruvian soles, the hotel also applied an exchange rate higher than the official rate.
I also asked whether I could return after completing the Inca Trail and stay for two additional nights. We agreed on a price of 65 soles per night. However, when I returned, the owner suddenly changed his mind and demanded 90 soles per night. This meant the total price increased from the agreed 130 soles to 180 soles – an additional 50 soles.
Despite arriving late at around 9 PM, I decided on principle not to accept this change of price. I cancelled the stay and went to find another hotel.
The room itself was also disappointing. The window faced an internal courtyard, where there were many children during my first night, making it very noisy. In addition, the outdoor lighting shone directly into my room throughout the night.
Other shortcomings included:
No shampoo in the shower.
No bathroom floor mat.
Damp room.
No heating.
No hairdryer.
Overall, the accommodation was uncomfortable, and the owner's approach to pricing and customer service was particularly disappointing. Changing an agreed price at the last minute is unacceptable.
I am very disappointed with this accommodation and would not recommend it to other travellers.

Arturo muy pendiente de nosotros y de que estuvieramos comodos.

Muy amables, me empacaron el desayuno y estuvieron muy atentos.
No habia shampoo en la habitacion, la limpieza puede mejorar. No hay señalizacion en la cual se respete el ruido desde cierto horario, habia gente gritando de madrugada. Cuando llegue no me cobraron lo que booking me indicaba, era poca la diferencia pero eso no me gusto

El hotel en su exterior bien, bien ubicado, buen servicio, son amables, buen aseo diario en la habitación. Me gustó la ducha, fuerte y caliente.
Al llegar nos ofrecieron dos habitaciones que no coincidían con las fotos publicadas en Booking.com. La habitación muy encerrada, la que rechazamos tenía una ventana hacia el cuarto de san alejo.

según la página el check in era a las 13, pero en el hotel te dicen que es a las 15hs. no había nadie en recepción para hacer el chek in cuando volví, estuve esperando como 15 minutos hasta que apareció alguien. para usar wifi tenes que estar en el patio central porque a la habitación (2do piso) no llegaba. la luz del pasillo a la noche titilaba y fue imposible dormir de corrido. el desayuno fueron 2 panes y manteca.
