If you don’t know where to stay in Cusco - STAY HERE!
First, the accommodations are beautiful and cozy. The hotel is perfectly located and it’s easy to walk to everything in Cusco.
Second, this hotel is so charming and carefully maintained by Camilla and her family. My husband got sick while we stayed there and Camilla did everything to help him recover. Breakfast is fantastic and they provide a to-go option if you leave early. Seriously, this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Cusco. Camilla is a gem and will do anything to ensure you have the perfect stay. Ask her for recommendations (food, shopping, excursions, etc).
Lastly, HOT WATER!! They have sooo much hot water. I never took a cold shower. I will only stay here in the future.
Not applicable. Fantastic hotel and no complaints!
Posizione
In camera e in bagno c'er freddo. Mancava l'asciugacapelli (disponibile solo su richiesta). Colazione molto povera.
Localizacao perfeita, hotel super charmoso e confortacel
Everything was good, from very good communication and attentiveness of the host, to excellent central location and cleanliness of the premises
Nothing...all was good
Camilla - the owner- is such a lovely friendly lady! I felt so welcome. The hotel is quiet and there is free water, tea and coffee all day. The location is also amazing, with two small supermarkets closely.
Nothing
O hotel é excelente, desde a estrutura, limpeza, localização e cuidados.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Will make to go bag for early excursions. Cute property. Short walk to plaza.
The hotel is close to everything in Cusco, and the area is safe. The room (#5) was very cozy, clean and pleasant to be in. Also loved the early check-in (12PM) and the breakfast. Camila was very helpful, reachable all the time and helped me a lot with a small medical problem I had while there. I simply love boutique hotels like this one and I fully enjoyed my stay there 😃
We stayed here before and after completing a 5 day trek to Machu Picchu. Camilla was absolutely amazing, helping us arrange a ride to/from the airport, super responsive via texting on WhatsApp, and was so kind and welcoming. We noted that most places in Cusco aren't well insulated for sound, so I would recommend bringing ear plugs for nighttime, as they clean the streets and you can also hear dogs barking. Our room was very clean, had a nice little breakfast in the morning, good Wifi, and Camilla even makes sack lunches if you're leaving early in the morning and won't be there for breakfast. The location is perfect- very easy walking to the main downtown square, and also accessible by car (many streets in Cusco can't be driven on because of stairs). Definitely recommend!
From the minute we walked in and realized we hadn’t added the children to our booking, Camila accommodated us and went above and beyond. Every step of the way Camila and the entire Wakapunku team just made us feel at home and exceptionally well taken care of. It’s around the corner from half of the places we had on our list to check out, with easy access to the Plaza but also San Blas. Then when we hadn’t yet arranged for travel to the Sacred Valley and Macchu Picchu, she had it all worked out for us at a better price than we got anywhere else.
Some slightly confusing bathroom functionality but really a minor inconvenience. More sharing to say we didn’t totally understand the shower setup.
Wakapunku Boutique Hotel is truly a gem in the heart of Cuzco! From the moment you step in, you feel like you’ve found a home away from home. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, with a personal touch that makes your stay unforgettable. Camila is the best, also the rest of the staff, they go above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect, making you feel genuinely cared for. Snack boxes are available if you’re going off in an early excursion. The rooms are fantastic, especially the king-size room option with a king size bed. Spacious, impeccably clean, with lots of natural light and incredibly comfortable, it provided the perfect sanctuary after a day exploring the city and after a long day trekking around.
The hotel is also remarkably quiet, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The location couldn’t be better, near the Plaza de Armas, and street with the 12 angles stone. It’s close to everything, restaurants, shops, and even a fantastic coffee shop “Altura” right next door.
For the value, Wakapunku delivers an exceptional experience that rivals any luxury stay. If you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and a warm, personal touch, this boutique hotel is a must. Thank you, we will be back! Highly recommend!
