Erittäin mukava pieni hotelli keskeisellä paikalla Cuzcossa.
Pros:

Cons:

Great Hotel but prone to blackouts
Pros:

Amazing location in the heart of Cusco. Staff are super friendly especially Juan. But we experienced rolling blackouts and the staff could have done more to manage a stressful situation. Blackouts are out of their control but managing the experience is not.

Pros:

Cons:

Electricity and Water Disruptions During Our Stay
Pros:

We experienced electricity and water disruptions during our two nights stay in this hotel. The hotel reception would not provide us with a clear explanation for the repeated electricity and water disruptions. This morning, however, one of the waiters informed me that the disruption was district-wide.

Even if the problem was beyond the hotel's control, I believe a four-star hotel should have had contingency measures in place to minimize the impact on its guests. A standby generator or another emergency power system could have provided essential electricity during the outage. The hotel should also have an adequate reserve water tank or emergency water supply so that guests can continue to use the toilets, wash, and meet other basic needs when the main water supply is interrupted.

More importantly, the hotel could have communicated openly with its guests about what was happening, provided regular updates, explained what emergency measures were being taken, and offered temporary alternatives while the problem was being resolved. Instead, we were left without clear information and had to repeatedly ask the reception about the situation.

I understand that a district-wide disruption may not have been caused by the hotel. However, the hotel's responsibility is not only to prevent problems within its control, but also to be prepared to respond appropriately when outside problems affect essential services. For a four-star, service-oriented hotel, reliable contingency plans for basic necessities such as water and electricity should be expected. Even a much more modest hotel should have basic emergency measures in place to protect the comfort, sanitation, and safety of its guests.

A concrete example of how the disruptions inconvenienced us was I woke up the other day, I urgently needed to use the bathroom. The situation had become so difficult that I even asked reception if they could bring me a bucket of water so I could manually flush the toilet after using it. I also considered going to a restaurant just to use the restroom and take care of my basic needs there, but at around 5:00 a.m., I wasn't even sure if any restaurants would be open. These were the kinds of alternatives I had to think about because there was no running water.

Convenient 3* hotel in the city centre
Pros:

Friendly bar and restaurant staff and lovely communal areas.
Live music and options to take part in some free activities during your stay

Cons:

Rooms were very dated and I wouldn’t consider it a boutique hotel.
Very noisy - we had two rooms on the ground floor and one room was right on a busy road and in the other room you could hear people using the bathroom/walking around.

Fijn hotel in het centrum van cusco
Pros:

Charming stay in the perfect location
Pros:

The location and ambiance were perfect. It’s within walking distance of the markets, restaurants, and bars. Plus, the rooms are so charming. We had one with the most quaint balcony overlooking the alleyway and mountain with the Viva El Peru sign. On top of that, the staff & service are exceptional. From the warm welcome to the complimentary breakfast - our group of 3 would highly recommend.
