The property is older but was clean and I felt safe. I was disappointed that I arrived at night and could not get a hot shower because it is solar powered so no hot water at night. And the mattress was super firm.
Staff very friendly for every request or problem, rooms big enough, 10 minutes walking distance from Plaza de Armas. Great experience
Nice hotel very clean and staff members are very helpful and respectful. I will like to go back to Cusco and choose La Posada de Atahualpa again. Sincerely yanire
The staff always took the time to understand and meet our needs.
Cute place, close to the historic center. Spacey room with hot water and very friendly/helpful staff
The staff was outstanding! Sharmely gave great suggestions and we were always greeted in the mornings and evenings when we returned. I would definitely stay again next time I go to Peru
Returned to this hotel after a week volunteering at a animal sanctuary in the rain forest. Lovely to be back, great clean room, and bathroom. (Have to let the shower run for a while to get hot water.)
Very friendly and helpful staff. Helps if guests have good Spanish though.
Cold time of year so we borrowed a heater.
Nice 5 min walk to historic part of town.
Lovely hotel, very helpful staff, supplying heater when asked. Lovely breakfast.
Will be back!
The hotel appearance isn’t bad. To begin the hotel doesn’t have heaters that’s an additional cost. Then you get dirty sheets for your whole stay they make your bed but don’t change them. Restrooms smell bad like urine. The taxis don’t know where your hotels at unless you give them a business card. It’s a bad neighborhood according to many taxis that drove us. Although we didn’t have any issues. Oh and some rooms have tv and others don’t.
Basic rooms, as seems typical of Peru heavy blankets rather than heat in rooms. Former large house with 2 courtyards. Made eggs to order for breakfast. Walked to/from tourist centers but taxis are S/ 5 so an alternative.
We had a great stay in La Posada Atahualpa. It is close enough to the old town/city centre of Cusco and has all you need for your stay close by from markets to restaurants. The staff was great and very helpful. They always inquired about our well being and made sure we ad everything we needed. As for the room it was very clean, a bit basic, but with all we needed for our short stay. Warm water was available as well as breakfast. The Hotel has a nice design and a very comfortable vibe and we would stay there again if coming back to Cusco. As a great service the front desk organized a very cheap taxi ride to the airport as well.
My guess is not many people stay in that hotel so they keep same food for a long time and serve it over and over again. Coffee never fresh Francisco would heat water and mix it with the coffee left over from the day before. No cable so no T.V it looks like the place is ran on very tigth budget.
They make me feel like hpme, everybody is so friendly and helful. I will hardly recoment it to everybody
This hotel and staff makes you feel at home. They always greeted you every time they saw you, and asked you you needed anything.
I will use this hotel again in the future.
I enjoyed staying there and I did not having any issues during my stay. All went well and was peaceful.
Very friendly, helful staff. Hotel has a quaint, bread and breakfast like, feel. Only issue was that the bed was not very comfortable.
Hotel is located away from main tourists and nestled near local market, shops and restaurants but positioned near town centre and main attractions. Very clean, comfortable and spacious rooms and service is excellent.
This hotel was about 15 minutes walk from the main square, the location was quiet and relaxing and there were shops, drug stores and restaurants just around the corner. Taxis were inexpensive if you decided not to walk and the staff were very accommodating. I'd definitely stay here again.
Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. A short walk to the Plaza De Armas. Food selection nearby is limited.
It was a very nice budget hotel. Very clean, close to town, and helpful staff!
