5-day hiking adventure on the mountains that form the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina. It includes 4 different mountains, sleeping at 3 different locations, all part of white trail of Via Dinarica, and offer the best and most diverse hiking options. From rocky highlands of Čvrsnica, to rocky peaks of Prenj to grasslands on Bjelašnica, deep Rakitnica canyon, and the ridges of Visočica. All the trails are very beautiful and represent the best of each of the mountains. Yet, all of them are different from each other.

Čvrsnica is one of the highest mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Together with Prenj mountain it is called the Himalaya of Herzegovina. Today’s hike is one of the most beautiful routes on the mountain. Climb the second highest peak – Veliki Vilinac 2118 m asl, see the highest lake in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Crvenjak at 2006 m asl, and the most famous rock in the country – Šuplja stijena, or popularly known as Hajdučka vrata.
After the hike we will visit the memorial for the Battle for the Wounded from WWII in Jablanica.
Prenj is one of the most beautiful mountains in Bosnia. So much that in Bosnian mountaineering community it's addressed as „Planet Prenj“ Spend two days climbing rocky peaks that rise from green valleys: the highest peak of the mountain – Zelena glava 2155 m asl, and two more peaks in the zone-2000: Otiš and Osobac, as well as a small, but stunning peak of Taraš.
Day 2 of our Prenj adventure takes us to the highest peak mountain located at the center of the mountain.
We will make a short walking tour of the old town of Konjic to visit the old bridge, Čaršijska mosque and talk about the history and legends of the town.
A trip to Lukomir highland village takes you through 2 other medieval villages, through one of the deepest canyons in Europe, over peaks, to UNESCO World Heritage site, to waterfalls, amazing viewpoints, 4 medieval necropoles in the most spectacular locations, crosses over the coldest mountain streams, makes you eat the freshest, tastiest traditional Bosnian food prepared by locals and made from local product grown just couple of meters away, you get to know the stories, history, legends, meet the locals and see the dragon of Umoljani. What more can you wish for in a single day?
One of the most photographed mountain landscapes in Bosnia - Studeni potok (cold creek). We will talk about the legend of its origin, and have a nice walk next to the countless meanders the river makes.
On the edge of the valley we will be treated with a breathtaking view of Rakitnica Canyon, as well as the neighboring mountains. This is where we will make the first break, to take photos and eat some snacks before continuing through the canyon towards our last stop - Lukomir
The last stop, Lukomir village is a testament to old times. Village that lives the same life for more than 600 years, Bosnia’s highest and most isolated mountain village. The traditional lifestyles of the Bosnian highlanders are still practiced here, providing a unique window into the past. We will talk about the history, people, traditions, present and the future of the village. We will visit the local necropolis and climb the small peak offering the perfect views on the village, Rakitnica canyon, mt. Visočica, and peaks of Bjelašnica. Our hosts in Lukomir will prepare a fresh, warm, home-made traditional Bosnian meal from the local products.
A Circular hike on one of the most beautiful ridges in Bosnian mountains. The hike that is very popular among locals, but tourists rarely visit it. Only the views on Rakitnica canyon would make this hike worthwhile, but it offers so much more. An amazing ridge, at least three different peaks to climb, spectacular views and one fantastic canyon to see.
A short visit to the oldest mosque in this part of Bosnia.
A visit to Dolovi necropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will talk about the history and legends of Umoljani and the surrounding area.
