Your ride begins near the city center, usually from the banks near the Kastel Fortress or the Green Bridge. As you glide along the gentle currents, you’ll pass through the heart of the city, floating under bridges, beside cafes, and past lush riverbanks filled with willows, poplars, and birdsong. The ride is relaxing, perfect for soaking in the natural beauty and urban charm of Banja Luka. Most rides last around 30–45 minutes and are guided by skilled local boatmen who often share stories and traditions tied to the river. After your time on the water, head toward Banj brdo, a forested hill rising on the southwestern edge of the city. It’s Banja Luka’s favorite lookout point and a beloved recreational area for both locals and visitors.
