The trail is scenic and not too difficult, with plenty of spots to stop, take photos, and enjoy the untouched nature. After a break by the lake, we’ll head back the same way.
The hike starts from Prijevor viewpoint, with a stunning view of Maglić, the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The route offers incredible nature and perfect spots for photos and a short break by the water.
We’ll spend about an hour at Trnovačko Lake, where we’ll have a picnic lunch by the water. For those feeling brave, there’s a chance to take a refreshing swim in the cold, clear mountain lake.
After the hike, we’ll visit the Tjentište Memorial (Spomenik), a powerful monument dedicated to the fallen Partisan fighters of the Battle of Sutjeska in 1943. The monument, shaped like two massive concrete wings, stands in a peaceful valley surrounded by mountains. It’s a striking example of Yugoslav-era architecture and a place to reflect on the region’s history and courage of those who fought there.
