    The firt attraction on Grand Tour of Belgrade is Avala Mountain, located approx. 15 km from Belgrade. At the top 511m above sea level, you will be welcomed by the Monument of the Unknown Hero. Avala discover will be done with a visit to Avala Tower - telecommunication and observation tower, destroyed on 29th of April, 1999 by Nato, and rebuilt in 2010.

    The tour continues with a drive to St. Sava Temple, one of the main landmarks within the city of Belgrade and second largest Orthodox Church in Europe.

    On the Republic Square, which is considered to be the heart of the city, you will see National Theater, National Museum and the monument dedicated to one of the greatest Serbian rulers, prince Mihailo Obrenovic. From here we will start our walking tour through the main pedestrian zone, Knez Mihailova street, that will lead us all the way to Kalemegdan Fortress, number one attraction in Belgrade.

    Kalemegdan Park and Belgrade Fortress

    Our Old Town Tour will finish with a visit to Kalemegdan fortress, dominant Belgrade attraction. It is considered to be the museum on open air built between 1st and 18th century and besieged more than 100 times. The Fortress is divided into Upper and Lower Town with many attractions such as Roman Well, Nebojsa Tower, Military Museum, Victor Monument – main symbol of the City of Belgrade, etc.

    With your knowledgeable guide leading the way, explore one of the oldest municipalities of Belgrade and one of the oldest settlements in Europe called Zemun, located on the right bank of the incredible Danube river. On your way to the heart of this charming municipality of Belgrade you will pass by Hotel Yugoslavia, in the past the most luxurious hotel, Aviation Square, well known after the building of former Air Force Command, designed to look like an airplane, which was slightly damaged during NATO bombing in 1999, and the only opera house in Belgrade, called “Madlenianum.”

    On your way to the highest point of Zemun (Gardos Hill) you’ll pass by the Orthodox church of Saint Nicholas built in 17th century, the oldest Orthodox church in Belgrade, and House of Karamatin Family - the most beautiful baroque building. On the Gardos hill you will visit the most famous historical symbol of Zemun – “Millennium Tower” built in 1896 for 1000th anniversary of the settlement of the Hungarians in this part of Pannonian Plain. The tower was built of stones and bricks and the height reaches 36 meters. The splendid view from the top of the tower will take your breath away and you will see Old Belgrade, New Belgrade and Zemun from completely different perspective.
