Ostra Cuka - the most important information
One of the mountain tops of Mountain Devica bears the intriguing name Ostra Cuka. This place has interested many tourists in this area because its viewpoint offers the most beautiful view of the Sokobanja valley and the surrounding mountains. From here, you can orient yourself, take a break from traveling and take unforgettable photos.
Characteristics of the Ostra Cuka viewpoint
The top itself is located at an altitude of 1075m and is very interesting in shape. This place is rocky, with steeply cut sides, so it looks like a big rock nest. The top got its name because of its characteristic sharp appearance, but it still welcomes visitors who can approach it from the slightly sloping north side.

Everyone who endures climbing to Ostra Cuka will have the opportunity to see the entire region around Sokobanja and unforgettable scenes of nature. When you are at the top, take a look at all four sides of the world, and you will be able to see:
- In the north - the Sokobanja valley, the mountains Rtanj, Beljanica, Veliki and Mali Malinik
- In the south - Suva Planina, Nis and its airport
- In the east - Knjazevac and the slopes of Stara Planina

How to get to the top of Ostra Cuka
A hiking trail leads to the top of Ostra Cuka, starting from the Sopur spring on Ozren.
- By car: you can reach this spring by an asphalt road that leads further to the signpost for Ostra Cuka. From this signpost, you go on foot.
- Surroundings: if you continue from the signpost on the asphalt road, you can reach the picnic area Vlasina which is a very popular place for camping and picnics.
- On foot: the path through the mountain can be reached in about an hour, and the walking tour difficulty is moderate.
