Upstream of the waterfall, you will be able to notice several smaller waterfalls and bigren tubs in the riverbed, as well as 3 smaller lakes with clear water. Characteristics of Bigar waterfall
Bigar Waterfall is of accumulative origin. Its sections were formed by the deposition of bigra and consist of a series of smaller sections, which are arranged in the form of steps. The Bigra Valley is sloping 80 meters from the spring to the mouth of the Stanjinska River. The largest waterfall of 35 meters is located at the place where the valley of Bigra faces the valley of the Stalin river. In this section you can see 3 white canvases of foamy water, which will delight you with its beauty. Bigar Waterfall is a natural attraction, which attracts an increasing number of visitors every year. Small limestone lakes and waterfalls upstream from Bigra are places that will leave you speechless. People used to gather at these locations during holidays and fairs, and today mushrooms with benches are placed on them, where you can relax and enjoy the pictures that you will remember. The monastery of St. Onuphrius, from the 15th century, is only a hundred meters away from the Bigar waterfall, so you can visit it when you are nearby.
