This wooden church in the settlement of Dobroselica stands out among the places of worship of unique material and great spiritual significance. At 19 km from the tourist center of Zlatibor, you can see this building made of wood that preserves the tradition of the area and tells many stories from the past.
History of the church
The first log-shaped church was built on this site in the 17th or 18th century, and since then it has witnessed numerous interesting events. According to the legend, on one occasion, the locals disassembled this church overnight and moved it to another side of the hill in order to save it from the Turks. However, it didn't save it from destruction. In 1806, it was burned down by the Turks, and in 1821 a new church dedicated to the Holy Prophet Elijah was built on its foundations.

You can easily reach the log cabin via the main road Belgrade - Bar. It is located 5km from the center of Vodice.
