Appearance and characteristics of Ribnička cave
The Ribnica cave has been placed under protection as the only speleological object in Serbia, which is home to 15 species of bats, which are protected as natural rarities. The opening of the cave is large and in the shape of an isosceles triangle, and lies in the plane of the riverbed. This cave was created by a stream that springs from its hatch. A unique phenomenon of piracy was noticed on this soil - the overflow of water from one basin to another, underground. An example is the waters of Lepenice, which overflow into Ribnica with underground flows. The ceiling of the Ribnička cave is characterized by rare stalactites and a large number of concave sharp edges, which were formed by the falling off of rocky blocks.
