About Miroslav Antic
He was born on March 14, 1932, in Mokrin. He was sixteen when he wrote his first song, and in 1950 he published his first collection of poems, Told for Spring. He was not always a poet, he worked in the puppet theater and as a sailor. He wrote numerous works, such as Blue Mute, Vojvodina, The Myth of the Bird. He has won significant awards for his work. He was the editor of Ritam, Dnevnik and Mlado pokolenja. In 1986, he was buried and seen off by ten thousand people at the New Novi Sad Cemetery, and his last wish was to read the Immortal Song to him when he was buried.
