Mountain chalets in Serbia are offered at prices from €35 per night up to €250-300 on our most popular mountains, Zlatibor and Kopaonik.
Log cabins are slightly more expensive than apartments because they are accommodations made entirely of natural materials, with maximum respect for ecological standards.
Log cabins whose price is around €40-50 are mostly log cabins with a smaller capacity, which can accommodate two people, a maximum of four people. Such log cabins are AA Pine in Nova Varoš, Zlatiborka 1 on Zlatibor, Šumska Vila on Tara, Brvnara ispod Čigote on Zlatibor, as well as Log Cabin Una na Tari.
Log cabins for rent that accommodate six or more people can generally be rented from €70 to €250 per night. Such log cabins are Dream House on Zlatibor, Brvnara Čarolija in Gunjaci, log cabin Stanković on Stara planina, log cabin Pavle on Zlatibor.
Log cabin owners often offer their guests discounts for longer stays, so for stays of seven or more days the price can be 10 to 20% cheaper.
It should be emphasized that the prices of log cabins can vary depending on the number of guests, so the price will not be the same when four or ten people stay in it.
Prices of log cabins in the New Year period
Log cabins are very popular during New Year's Eve, so booking them should be done three to four months in advance, especially when it comes to the most popular mountains in our country. In addition, log cabin prices in this period are up to 200% more expensive than usual.
Also, during the New Year, it is generally not possible to rent mountain log cabins only for one night, but it usually has to be for a period of at least three nights.
Best places for renting log cabins in Serbia
Log cabins in Serbia are mostly associated with the mountains, and for good reason, because the largest number of log cabins for rent can be found in the mountains, however, in addition to the mountains, log cabins are also available near rivers and lakes.
Log cabins in the mountains
We can find log cabins for rent in all our mountains. The largest number is found in the mountains that belong to the region of western Serbia, namely Tara, Zlatibor, Zlatar, and then on Kopaonik, Stara Planina, and Divčibari. Zlatibor is one of the most urbanized mountains in our country, so the log cabins on this mountain can be found outside the center and around the edges of the mountain.
Log cabins by rivers and lakes
In addition to the mountains, a certain number of log cabins can also be found by rivers and lakes. As log cabins are a typical accommodation for the region of western Serbia, we can find them mostly right next to the Drina, as well as near the Perućačko Lake. A slightly smaller number of log cabins are located next to Srebrno Jezero (Silver Lake) , as well as next to Gruža Lake.

- Summer – Natural materials, wood, and stone, from which log cabins are mostly made, represent excellent natural insulation, so staying in mountain log cabins is a great choice when you want to take shelter from high summer temperatures. In addition, mountains such as Zlatibor and Kopaonik offer numerous opportunities for lovers of active tourism, as well as attractions for children.
- Autumn and spring – They can be an excellent time of the year for a quiet holiday in nature. This is the period when there are not so many crowds, accommodation is easy to find and prices are lower than during the winter months.
