Jezero Garasi - The most important information 

Have you heard of Garaši Lake or Garaško Lake? This lake is located in the heart of Šumadija, and it is only eight kilometers away from Arandjelovac. Garaško Lake was created in 1976 by damming the river Bukulja and several of its tributaries for the needs of water supply of the town of Arandjelovac and its surroundings. It consists of 3 branches: Milićevići, Lekići and Vrbe, which were named after the flooded hamlets of the villages of Garaši and Jelovik.

Characteristics of Garaško Lake
Garaško Lake is characterized by shores that are steep on one side and accessible on the other. The bottom of this lake is hard, with gentle canyons along the former river courses. The maximum depth is over 20 meters. Garaško Lake boasts a diversity of fish world, so here you can see numerous species, such as: chub, redfin, partridge, babushka, carp, catfish, as well as pike, which holds the unofficial state record, with the largest specimen weighing over 19 kg. This lake is an accumulation lake, and numerous entertainment and unforgettable adventures await you on it.

How to get to Garaško Lake?
  • Garaško Lake is a little more than 8 km away from Arandjelovac. If you go by car, you will reach it in ten minutes (via Route 150).

  • From Belgrade to Garaško Lake you can reach by car in an hour and 20 minutes (by highway A1 / E75 and Route 25).
Ticket prices for the entrance to the Garaši Pool
The ticket for adults to this pool is 250 dinars, while the entrance fee for night swimming is 150 dinars.
