Gallery of the Center for Culture

Are you planning to visit Raska soon? Whether you come for business or tourism, this city deserves you to stay in it for a while and get to know the facilities for which it is famous. At this place, we have selected for you the Gallery of the Cultural Center "Gradac", which is located in Ibarska Street and is a few hundred meters from the city center.

The creation of the Gallery of the Center for Culture
The gallery activity in Raska got its systematic form only in 1996, when the Center for Culture, Education and Information "Gradac" began to deal with this activity. From that year until 2016, about 300 exhibitions were organized. The decisive event for the formation of this gallery was the relocation of the library and the administration of the Center to the adapted space of the Kursulić House in 1995. This house was established as a cultural asset in 1988 and was designated the Homeland Museum.

Exhibition concept of the Gallery
The exhibition concept of the Gallery was profiled in accordance with the vision and mission of the Cultural Center "Gradac". Very important was the need to make art production from the state available to the public and to promote art and artists from the local area. The goal of all these activities was to create and nurture cultural habits, as well as to meet the needs of the audience. Within the Gallery, about 15 exhibitions are organized annually, in which the most important painters and sculptors from all areas of Serbia participate, as well as new hopes - young artists from Raska. The annual activity of this gallery is the result of a well-designed program of the Gallery Council, which changes its composition every four years.
