Krupacko Lake - The most important information
Krupacko Lake is the largest and most beautiful beach in the continental part of Montenegro. It covers an area of 5.7 square kilometers and is located 5 km from the city, at the foot of the mountains. It is located in the western part of the Niksic field and was created in the middle of the 20th century for the needs of a hydroelectric power plant. The lake is supplied with water from numerous surrounding springs, so the water is clean. During the summer, the water temperature reaches 28 degrees, which is a great temperature for swimming. Since 2011, Lake Fest has been held in this area every year.

There are two islands on the water, large and small Zakrnjak, and the lake is connected to the Slano Lake and Lake Vrtac by canals. There is also a dam that divides Krupacko Lake, and its length is 1,480 m. Lake Poklonci, Zabica, Krupacko oko, Zmijanac feed on the lake. On the lake itself there is a beach for 10,000 people.

There is a cafe on the shore, and around the lake there are landscaped courts for volleyball and basketball. On the lake it is possible to ride a kayak, pedal boat, canoe, water skis, but it is also possible to fish, dive, ski and swim. On the coastal part there is also a promenade along the dam about 1480 m long. Interestingly, horseback riding is available on Krupacko Lake, in addition to all water sports.

- By car - By car you need about 10 minutes of easy driving to Krupacko Lake. Head past the Niksic Sports Center along Put Street near Bistrica. Krsta Kostica Street continues to this street. Continue straight on to Partizanski put Street, where you turn left. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Hercegovacki put Street, then through Kocane, which are close to Krupacko Lake.
