Kamenički vis - the most important information
Have you heard of Kamenicki vis, one of the peaks on the mountain Kalafat. This peak is located on the territory of the Nis city municipality of Pantelej, at an altitude of 814 meters. It is a popular picnic area, which is only 14 km away from the center of Nis. Kamenički vis is located above the village of Kamenica, after which it got its name. The original name of this visa was Stone Head. There is a spacious plateau surrounded by forest, from which you will be able to enjoy the view of Nis and its valley.
Characteristics of Kamenicki vis
On the northern side of Kamenicki Vis, a ski trail (350 m), a toboggan run and 2 smaller ski lifts have been built, which are currently not in operation. In the seventies of the 20th century, a tourist settlement "Forest Flower" was built on this place, with 21 weekend facilities (bungalows), where you can spend as many days as you want. Studeni kladenac, the only spring in the narrower area of Kamenički vis, is located on the north side. An observatory has been built here, 3 barbecues, wooden benches and tables have been set up, so this place is ideal for hanging out with family or friends in nature. If you bring your little ones, swings and other contents are set for them, which will entertain them immensely.

How to get to Kamenicki vis?
- If your starting point is Belgrade, you will travel to this place by car for 2 and a half hours (by highway A1 / E75).
- If you start from Nis, you can reach Kamenicki Vis in about twenty minutes (via Borska Street). Since the distance is not great, we advise you to call one of the local taxi carriers and arrive safely at the desired place (First Taxi 018/4500005, Bros Taxi 018/4155541 or City Taxi 0800/000022).

Since 2011, there has been a binoculars for panoramic observation of Nis on the observation post. You can reach the picnic area by asphalt road, which passes by the Monument on Čegra and through the village of Kamenica. In the wider area of the Kamenički vis picnic area, there is the Cerjanska cave. The picnic area is the most visited for May 1, Labor Day, when a large number of people from Nis and the surrounding area gather at this place. Every year in June, the popular festival "Escape to Nature" is held on Kamenički Vis.
