Zemun quay - the most important information

Zemun quay is located on the right bank of the Danube. It officially has the Quay of Liberation and stretches from the settlement of Gardos to New Belgrade. It is located on the territory of the municipality of Zemun and is one of the favorite city promenades in the city.

About the Zemun quay
The Zemun quay stretches parallel to Kej oslobođenja Street, after which it is named. The promenade path forms a continuous pedestrian zone towards the Old Fairgrounds and the Sava Embankment. The pedestrian zone was expanded in 2007, when a bicycle path was made. Due to the large number of visitors who visit the quay every day, numerous facilities are available in the form of cafes, restaurants and especially playgrounds for children. Next to the quay is one of the largest hotels in the city, the Hotel Yugoslavia, which after the bombing in 1999 was partially opened as the largest casino in Belgrade. The coast in front of the hotel is the location of many clubs, so it is a popular place for young people.

Zemun quay is the main area for vessels. Along the coast there are a large number of rafts and restaurants on the water which are favorite places to take a break after a walk. The nearby Great War Island also attracts a lot of attention, which is periodically connected to the Zemun quay where, during the summer months, tourists enjoy relaxing on the Lido beach. In addition, the most interesting are certainly the permanent residents of the Zemun quay, swans, who gladly approach the coast to get a piece of food from enthusiastic observers.
