Goc Mountain - the most important information

It is a lower mountain in Serbia, located above Vrnjacka Banja. Goč Mountain is 200 km away from Belgrade, while the distance from Kraljevo to it is about 30 km. Its highest peak is Ljukten (1216 m). Goch mountain stretches in the east-west direction for about 10 kilometers. It is the source of many streams and rivers that flow towards Zapadna Morava and Rasina.

Characteristics of Goc mountain
The highest part of this mountain is composed of crystalline shales. The area of ​​Goč is overgrown with beech and fir forests. In addition, Gočki black pine, sessile oak, noble deciduous trees, as well as coniferous exotics are represented on this mountain. In case you didn't know, Mount Goch is rich in wild strawberries and various medicinal herbs. The surfaces of this mountain give a rich honey pasture for bees, while in the place Gvozdac there is an artificial lake. In the tourist center Dobre vode you will have 2 ski slopes 300 m long for beginners and children, with 2 ski lifts.

Also, at a distance of 150 meters from the hotel of the same name, there is a cable car 1150 m long and another ski slope, 1400 m long. The upper part of this trail is slightly sloping, so it is suitable for beginners. The lower part is steeper and you can notice recreational skiers on it. In addition to this, there will be 5 marked cross-country ski trails, as well as a ski jump. In addition to the Beli Izvor Hotel, there are courts for small sports, walking and running trails, as well as 2 ski trails for beginners. How to get to Goc?
  • There will be 2 main roads to the mountain Goč: from Kraljevo through Kamenica to the top of Dobra voda and from Vrnjačka Banja to Stanišinac.
  • If you start by car from Belgrade, you will reach Goč in 3 hours (highway A2).
  • From Kraljevo you can reach this mountain in about fifty minutes via Route 5.
Additional information
There are 2 mountaineering associations in the area of ​​Mount Goč, which deal with various activities, including marking hiking trails, so that most of this mountain is well marked, which greatly facilitates the movement of visitors. On this mountain you can also see the Roman cemetery, where the Saxons, miners from the time of Nemanjić, were buried.
