Waterfall characteristics
According to the type of formation, the Lisine waterfall belongs to the accumulation waterfalls, which were created by the accumulation of bigra. At the foot of the waterfall, a small lake was formed, of small depth, surrounded by bigren blocks. With the river Vrelo, the Lisine waterfall is protected as a natural monument and as a geoheritage object of Serbia. The river Vrelo collects water from the wide karst areas of Beljanica, while a direct hydrographic connection has been established with the submerged rivers from the bays of Rečka and Busovata.
How to get to Lisine waterfall?
- If you are leaving Belgrade by car, you can reach this place in 2 hours and 15 minutes (via A1 / E75).
- Lisine waterfall is 20 km away from Despotovac, so you will travel to it from this place for about half an hour.
Additional information
With a height of 25 meters, Lisine waterfall is considered to be the highest waterfall in the country. In the last decade of the 20th century, that title was taken away from him, when waterfalls were discovered on Stara Planina.
