It was built on the foundations of a mosque built by Pervan-beg during the 16th century. Its construction was helped by the contributions of the citizens and the generous donation of Mehmed-pasha Bajrovic. With this donation, he earned a cast plate that was raised above the front door. The mosque covers an area of almost 18x14 meters and is built of crushed stone. It contained a wooden minaret until the Second World War, which was replaced by a minaret made of carved stone. Within its complex, it has a gasulhana, a fountain, a cemetery and a gallery.
