Kosturnica Square - the most important information

Kosturnica Square was reconstructed and renovated in 2019, and now has two new roundabouts. It is located southeast of the center and within it is the park Kosturnica. Also, within the park there is an outdoor gym and a playground for children, so that the young ones can play while the grown-ups can enjoy the monuments.

What to see on the Square
The following monuments can be seen within the Square:
  • Monument to despot Stefan Lazarevic - this monument, which is nine meters high with a pedestal, was ceremoniously unveiled on Vidovdan in 2020 and is dedicated to the son of knez Lazar, who is depicted on a rising horse and carrying a cross in his hand, which is directed towards Kosovo. On the north side of the monument are the verses of his most famous song "Slovo ljubve", and on the south is the coat of arms of Serbia. The monument was made by Dr. Boris Stajkovac and is located in the park.
  • "Girl with a pitcher - from Krusevac" - this statue is located on a roundabout within the Square, and the author is an artist from Krusevac, Marija Ciric.

How to get to the Square
At the Square itself there is a stop Rasinski trg and there are lines 2, 8, 13, 14, 17 and 20. It can also be reached on foot from the center, as well as by taxi.
