Savamala is a city settlement in Belgrade. One part of Savamala is located in the municipality of Savski venac, and the other part is in the municipality of Stari grad. The name Savamala comes from the time of the Turks who called this part of the city the Sava quarter - Sava + mahala (quarter or part of the city).
