The Kreman region or Shargan region encompasses the northern part of Zlatibor. The center of this area is the village of Kremna, the birthplace of the Tarabić prophetic family. Mokra Gora is another large village in the Kreman region. Kremna is called by many the strangest and most challenging village in Serbia. In the 19th century, the Tarabićs lived in this village, a family that the people believe were clairvoyant. After them, other people appeared who claimed that they also had that power: Stanoje Mulić, Jovo Krpa, Stevan Mulić, Bude Bogosavljević and others.

Appearance and characteristics of the village
This village is characterized by vast meadows, healthy mountain waters and beautiful colors. It is surrounded by a pine forest and is located at an altitude, ideal for an air spa. Milos and Mitar Tarabic are prophets from the 19th century, for whom this village is known everywhere. The Creman prophecy is woven into the Serbian cultural heritage. It brings hope to lives and unites all generations from time immemorial to the present day. In the hamlet of Tarabići, you will be able to visit the Memorial House of the Creman Prophets, a place that attracts a huge number of visitors. The memorial home is all in wood and ethno style and is a place that will surely intrigue you. In addition to its widely known prophecy, Kremna can offer you to enjoy the charms of nature and the hospitality of the local hosts, who will do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Every housewife will offer you specialties of Serbian cuisine, such as hot gibanica, proja and prosciutto, cooked dishes from earthenware, as well as roast pork or lamb. As for drinks, there are homemade raspberry and brandy juices.

How to get to Kremna?
  • If your starting point is Belgrade, you will travel to this place by car in 3 hours and 10 minutes (via A2 and E763).
  • When you are on Zlatibor, be sure to stop by this interesting place and learn more about the prophecy of Kreman. You can do this with the help of a taxi service (Zlatiborski Alex taxi - 031 846100 or Maxi Taxi Zlatibor - 031 846100) - you will arrive in about twenty minutes via E763 and Route 28.
Additional information
In addition to the Memorial House, in Kremni you will also find tomatoes, the footsteps of Saint Sava, the springs of Marić water, the ancient Moljković inn and many other interesting destinations. Also, near the village, there is the renovated Rujno Monastery, where the famous September Four Gospels were written in the 16th century, the first printed book in Serbia.
