Auto Museum - the most important information
The Auto Museum in Belgrade is a collection of Bratislav Petkovic, a car collector, who founded it together with the Belgrade City Assembly. The collection of Bratislav Petkovic contains about 100 cars, but only half of them are in the Museum building. Car lovers will surely enjoy the Museum and the history behind every exhibit.
History of the Auto Museum
The museum was founded in 1994, and the building in which it is located was built in 1929 according to the plans of the Russian architect Valery Stashevsky. It is an old garage building, which was the first public garage in the city center, and which is a cultural asset. The garage also housed the cars of the participants in the race that was held on September 3, 1939 - the first Belgrade international car and motorcycle race.
Auto Museum Collection
There are 50 cars in the Museum, all of which are in running order. The oldest car is the French tricycle Marot-Gardon from 1897. The collection also includes cars from the 50s, 60s and 70s of the 20th century.
From the collection we would single out:
- Ford Modet T - the first car made in a large series, on the assembly line.
- Mercedes 300C - convertible D from 1956, which is also known as "Adenauer" after the man who had 6 models of this car, the first chancellor of West Germany, Konrad Adenauer;
- Jaguar MK2 - from 1963, which is the first sports luxury car.
- Mercedes-Benz 600 - from 1974; it is one of the last cars to become part of the collection and was popular in its time, driven by Coco Chanel, Elizabeth Taylor, Hugh Hefner, David Bowie and others.
Opening hours and ticket prices
- The museum is open all week from 9:30 to 20:00.
- The ticket price is 200 dinars.

The museum is located across from the Stari Grad police station and can be reached:
- By bus lines and trolleybuses - 28, 41L, 65, 77, Politika stop, from where you take Kondina Street to Majka Jevrosima, where the Museum is located;
